Shame is insidious, it can feel like a full-bodied sensation where we feel like we have raw nerve endings. But we aren’t born with shame, it is always put on us. It’s external to us and impacts our belonging, our identity and our sense of place in the world.
In From Shame to Self Compassion you’ll be invited to reflect on the shame-based messages that formed you and who handed them to you.
You’ll be prompted to think about your inner world and the ways in which inhibitory emotions can block you from accessing your core emotions - emotions your body is made to feel.
While using this workbook, you’ll find small, simple nervous system recognised ways to start moving from shame to self compassion right away.
Whether you’re early in your journey away from high-control faith spaces or shame-based teachings, or you’ve been out for some time, this workbook offers a moment to pause and consider where you’ve come from and how you’d like things to be different.
